Bank of America to open new banking center in Olathe

Olathe, Kansas – Consumers in Olathe will enjoy the next generation of banking now that  Bank of America has opened the doors of its new banking center at the 119th & Blackbob location.  The banking center features Bank of America’s new store design and will offer customers exceptional service, access and convenience. 

“People are very excited about us being in the community and can’t wait for us to serve them,” said Aimee Starlin, banking center manager of the new office. “There’s been a very positive response in the neighborhood and we believe we are filling a real need here.”

The full-service facility is conveniently located at the cross streets of 119th and Black Bob Rd. The office has 4585 square feet of space and features 8 teller stations, 4 universal conference rooms an engaging media wall. The center also includes two brand new 24 hour deposit image ATM’s; one is inside the building and one is outside in the drive through.

The banking center will hold a grand opening event on Saturday, March 28th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.  Many Bank of America market leaders and partners from other lines of business will be in attendance, including: Premier Banking, Investments, Mortgage and Business Banking.  Also in attendance will be local business partners featuring fun activities and product displays.  There will be an instant win Kiosk for customers to try their chances; the grand prize is a $500 gift check.  Everyone who plays, wins! In addition there will be catering by Panera Bread, and fun activities for all ages.

The banking center -- which looks and feels more like a retail establishment than a bank -- follows the design standard for all new Bank of America banking centers. Its open floor plan includes a section where customers can relax in a sitting area that features a media wall with periodicals, financial planning resources and a television.

Upon entering the bank, customers are greeted at the door by a Lobby Leader who determines their needs.  They are then guided to the teller line or a glass-enclosed conference room for private financial discussions.  Safe deposit boxes are now accessed through an electronic palm reader feature that provides a higher standard of convenience, safety and security. 

The banking center is designed to be efficient, functional and more accessible, with plenty of room for parking. Lobby hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.  4 Drive-ups are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. Customers will be able to access their accounts online, by phone, or through a network of more than 18,500 ATMs across the country.
